Why can’t this darkness ever lift?
Surely the dawn must rise on the horizon.
And these shadows shall burden me no more.
It’s not enough that I want it,
but I need it. So relax, and turn away.
Thinking about the price of my soul.
And I smirk knowing there is no value.
So long I’ve been so sure,
that I don’t want to lie, cheat, and steal.
But I must confess, I think I see the light.
